Dear
Reporters:
We have lots
to share with you this newsletter.
Two things we are especially excited about are
new marketing cards and a new option for shipping
exhibits to our office.
New
Marketing Cards:
Charlene has
created some awesome new marketing cards.
If you want to order copies of a
favorite one to have on hand, email Charlene or Lisa
Paredes your order. Or, if you have
a
specific
attorney or paralegal you want us to market to for you, let us know which
card to use
and what you want to say. We will write it and sign your name. We will also include a $10.00
Starbucks
gift card to “help” them remember you.
A slide show is attached to
this email.
New
Exhibit Shipping Option:
Well, if you
are sick of traffic and the cost of gas is getting to you, CRC now offers a
way to
ship your exhibits to the office hassle free. We can set up each of you with your own
DHL
Vendor
Connect account which allows you to ship to CRC (only CRC). We can send you
a link to
your own sub-account to our DHL account which will enable you to create a
label,
print and attach to your exhibit package. You can drop off at any DHL drop-box
(located
inside every
Office Max, most postal centers, and will be in all Walgreens before the
end
of the year). This is at absolutely no cost to you. Now here’s the catch: we will add
$10.00 to the
bill for the O+1 attorney. We think
of this like we do parking – most of you
bill your parking back to your O+1 client. So if you feel comfortable with $10.00
being billed
whenever you use this service, send me an email and I
will set up your account and send you the link.
Great
Insurance for Your Laptop:
Did you know
that according to FBI estimates, the second most common crime (just after
identity theft) is laptop theft? Each year 2 million notebook computers
are stolen. A single
stolen laptop can cost more than $6000 to replace
hardware, software and recover stolen data.
You might
want to consider buying a Lojack for your
notebook. One year is $49.00 or 3
years
is $99.98. See their site for more info on stolen
computer recovery service:

Processing
Roughs and Rushes After Hours:
Since
reporting can be a demanding 24/7 business, we have established an office
procedure
where we can assist you with those after hour roughs or
rushes.
1. Call the office the day you know you will
need a rush rough or final processed after hours.
2. We will assign one of our staff who has
remote access from their home and let you know
who it will
be and provide you with their
number and vice versa.
3. Attach rough or final ASCII to the online
turn-in form. (Don’t send to anyone’s
specific email).
4. Use online job sheet – provide the names
and emails of the attorneys who need
the rough or
final.
5. Also provide the names and emails of any
attorneys who need to be notified the
rough is available.
6. When we send out the emails, we will copy
you on the email so you can see it has
been taken
care of.
This is far
more efficient than reporters sending out emails from their home computers
and the attorneys replying back to your computer the
next day when you are off to another job.
Just remember
– your office will take care of it.
